All controls that operate only when others are in particular states are
shown as inactive when not available.
What is this?
There are quite a lot of controls in the GUI (especially in the voice
and waveform windows) that only have any effect if certain other
controls/selectors/tick boxes are set to specific values. Until now, many of
these seemed to be usable at all times but actually did nothing if not in the
right states.
Now all of these are shown de-activated (greyed out) if in the not usable state.
