Ditto. I did just now find a very pleasingly long list of options:

Well, the latest news is that Microsoft has been given the green light.
I've had a quick look at gitlab. It seems it used to be hosted on Microsoft
servers, but has now moved to Google. I didn't realise Microsoft were
initially
involved, but even so the difference is now moot. Both Github and Gitlab are
vulnerable. Ironically that leaves Sourceforge as the closest to being
independent!
The Free Software Foundation provides some hosting, but is very picky about
the
projects it accepts, and doesn't really have high visibility.
With all of that in mind, I intend to leave things as they are for now, but
keep
a watch on the situation.
