Dear colleagues,

We would like to invite you to submit your abstracts to our YESS (Young
Ecosystem Services Specialists) session at the 3rd ESP Europe conference
<https://www.espconference.org/europe2020> in June. The Open Session O2 -
Early-career researchers’ perspectives: Challenges in the face of global
changes

is
organized by *early-career researchers* (ECR) who will discuss the complex
challenges of Ecosystem Services science. It is targeted at ECRs and aims
to bring together, empower and connect them within the Young Ecosystem
Services Specialists (YESS) community of ESP.

The submission of your 500-word abstract is possible until *15 February!* We
welcome submissions from all fields whose research 1) highlights challenges
you see in (your) ES research in the light of global change and 2) propose
starting points to address them.

Another event at ESP-EU, organized by YESS members is Thematic Session T16
- In search of policy instruments for ecosystems conservation: a
decision-tree approach to PES, REDD+ and Biodiversity Offsets practices

which we encourage you to participate in and/or submit your abstracts to!

The *ESP Europe Conference *will take place *in Tartu, Estonia as a **hybrid
event (digital & in-person) from** 7- 10 June 2021 *under the theme*
“**Ecosystem
Services Science, Policy and Practice in the face of Global Changes**”. In
over 35 sessions more than 400 delegates are expected to present and
discuss advances made in the science, policy and practice of ecosystem
