Dear all,
The Institute of Environmental Sciences (Leiden University), where I am
currently employed, is looking for three Assistant Professors. Contracts can
last up to six years, and we are a tight-knit bunch and definitely hope it will
be for six years!
Initially, you will be asked to lecture and supervise for a substantial part
(first year or so), and it will take more time because it will be new to you.
Then, depending on your performance and acquisition, the research / education
balance is evaluated on a yearly basis. Most of you will take more notice of
the first position (my department), but people with a more industrial ecology
focus stand a really good chance in the second instance.
