Following our initial e-mail (see below), we remind you that *next
Monday July, 16th at 14.00 CEST **we will host an online plenum *to discuss
where we are as network and the governance of YESS. The meeting should not
last more than 1-1,5 hours..
You might recall that we asked you to *read and comment the text in the
google document*

(no
google account needed) until July, 15 2018*. Some of your comments have
already been integrated in the current version.
*How to participate in the online plenum?*
1. Go to https://webconf.vc.dfn.de/yess/
2. Insert the password: *yess2018* (this is to ensure that only members
take part, so please do not distribute further).
3. You will need to install a small add-on for Adobe Connect (if you
don't have it already).
4. Once you enter the meeting room, it is recommendable that you check
if your audio settings are OK, for that click on "Meeting" (top left
corner) and on "Audio Setup Wizard". Make sure you selected the playback
and recording devices you want to use for the meeting.
5. If you have been given the floor by the discussion hosts, check that
your mic is on, meaning that the microphone icon (top, next to the speaker
icon) is green without a slash on top of it.
We will try to take care of any technicalities, should these arise, during
the call.

Dear YESS members,
it's now over a year that we took over the task as Executive Team of YESS.
As much fun this task is, we want to make sure that YESS is developing and
new ideas and people can get involved on a regular basis.
When discussing how to build the next YESS Executive Team, we realized
that there is not really anything written and accessible for all us YESS
members how YESS is supposed to work. While André and I still want to keep
YESS as light as possible, we think some written information could help to
further develop and stabilize YESS. We want an as open and transparent
process as possible, for this reason we are writing you today.
In order to start a YESS internal discussion, we have copied the text for
the last nomination process for the Executive Team (March 2017) into a
google document and invite you all to comment it and share your thoughts.
Then, we want to host an online plenum during which all YESS members can
voice their opinion and discuss with us the outcomes. Based on this, as a
next step, we will open the call for nominations for the YESS Executive
Team and if needed elections will take place afterwards.
