Dear All,
My former unit has now two PhD positions open. Both fully funded with salary
for 4 years. Unit of Conservation Biology at Department of Ecology, SLU in
Uppsala, Sweden. It's a wonderful place to work and a great bunch of people and
if all goes well, I plan to be involved in the second one.
Due date for both positions are 2019-06-09.
1. Prescribed burning - how, where, and when should it be applied to be
most beneficial?
The project aims to clarify which conservation values the burns create, and
which environmental and ecological factors that are important for promoting
different conservation values.

2. Recreational values in forested landscapes – where are they and how do
they relate to biodiversity?
The project aims at increasing our understanding for how to manage forests to
combine recreation, production and biodiversity.
