Senior Youth Associate

Global Community Access Unit

Responsibilities

    * Provide strategic vision and technical leadership for integrating youth 
work in all aspects of Ipas' work.
    * Support development of youth projects, models and partnerships
    * Provide technical assistance to the Global Health System team and Country 
Results teams, to design, implement, evaluate and document health systems 
projects that meet reproductive health and abortion-related needs and rights of 
adolescents and young women.
    *  Support the integration of reproductive health care for young women, 
including safe abortion, in all service provider trainings and new health 
systems publications.
    *  Ensure the implementation of indicators to measure youth work, track 
youth activities in internal monitoring systems and work with Country Results 
teams to ensure appropriate documentation of youth project
    * Support the development of research focused on youth, in particular 
adolescents, and reproductive health and abortion.
    * Identify and implement effective and appropriate ways to integrate youth 
in decision-making structures.
    * Build internal capacity on youth sexual and reproductive health and 
rights, including abortion, by designing and implementing trainings for staff, 
and sharing information in different internal forums.
    * Fundraise for youth work through donor document writing, reporting and 
communication.
    * Manage the Youth Program by overseeing budgets, and performing 
administrative tasks as needed.

Core Requirements

    * Advanced degree in relevant discipline;
    * 8+ years of relevant professional experience in sexual and reproductive 
health and rights, including at least 5 years working on youth issues, or a 
similar combination of experiences;
    * Demonstrated leadership and technical expertise in development and 
evaluation of youth programs and strategies;
    * Experience in integrating youth perspectives into organizational 
processes and systems;
    * Skills in project design and strategic planning, with demonstrated 
fundraising experience;
    * Expertise in program management, including budget skills;
    * Excellent written and verbal skills in English;
    * Fluency in a foreign language preferred

    * Ability to work independently as well as member of teams;
