This afternoon I saw some first-of-year birds* on Grand Island in Yamhill
County.
At the bridge onto the island and at the red barn: Cliff Swallows*
On the north half of Grand Island Loop: 6 + 3 (same birds?) Great Egrets.
Are they nesting somewhere nearby?
At the bridge south of the red barn: Black Phoebe
At the Greenway on the south end of the island: Yellow Warbler* and
Bullock's Oriole*.
