Hi Kari,
Maybe you want to update the vDos-lfn files (vdos-lfn.exe, readme.txt) in the
vDos-lfn for XyWrite installer to the vDos-lfn build 2016.05.30 too, which as
mentioned in my previous message is (and will be) the *last* build of vDos-lfn
that was based on Jos' vDos 2015.11.01. Indeed, all future builds of vDos-lfn
will be based on Jos' vDos 2016.06.01 or later. Apart from some other minor
fixes, vDos-lfn build 2016.05.30 has cursor blinking ON by default compared
with earlier vDos-lfn build 2016.05.25.

Hi Kari,
I agree that needs a testing period in the case that the clipboard feature does
not work properly. I think the clipboard issue should be reported to Jos so
that he will fix it.
As you said the latest version of vDos-lfn is always available at the static
addresses. So the current vDos-lfn 2016.06.01 is downloadable from these
address and is based on Jos' latest vDos 2016.06.01. However, you can still get
the last vDos-lfn build (i.e. build 2016.05.30) that was based on Jos' vDos
2015.11.01 at the following addresses:

Hello Wengier,
Clipboard and printing issues should be resolved before rushing into a
new edition of the Xy-specific installers. We did not rely solely on the
original DosPrinter solution for printing. Clearly this needs a testing
period before doing much more.
For this purpose, the users of the vDos-lfn for XyWrite should follow
this procedure (as stated in the manual.txt of the same):
It is suggested that you may manually update your vDos-lfn installation
to a newer version by downloading the latest generic vDos-lfn portable
version and copying the EXE file and making eventual CONFIG.TXT changes
as documented in the latest README.TXT of the latest vDos-lfn version.
vDos-lfn for XyWrite will be updated from time to time.
Wengier, we have the always the latest versions of vDos-lfn at the
static addresses, but is there a version history of all the successive
vDos-lfn versions somewhere?

Kari Eveli

Hi all,
Jos has released the new vDos 2016.06.01 today, and I also released
vDos-lfn 2016.06.01 today accordingly. This version includes various
changes and new features from the previous version of vDos(-lfn), such
as a faster CPU emulation, enhanced execution of Windows programs and
a brand new print processor. Kari might want to make a new version of
vDos-lfn for XyWrite installer as was done with the previous version
of vDos-lfn, although I think it may also be a good idea to make a
quick test first in order to make sure everything works reliably. The
forum thread for vDos-lfn 2016.06.01 is available from:
