Paul,
I would have expected to be able to control the console colours
from the top-left-hand console window menu under properties.
However when I try this, the colour settings take once, then next
time I open Aspell it has reverted and I can never change the
colours again.
My experience here is similar. I've been living with Aspell in white-
on-black until now, but I realized that a fine workaround was close to
hand: the ConEmu terminal emulator <
https://conemu.github.io/>; I run
the portable version. It's very customizable (including screen colors,
of course) and well worth a look.
I've modified frame ASPL so that if user variable ConEmu is set in
XYWWWEB.REG, ASPL runs Aspell in a ConEmu session -- with colors of
your choosing (see Settings). The user variable must point to the full
path to the ConEmu EXEcutable, including the filename. E.g.:
ConEmu=d:\ConEmu\ConEmuPortable.exe
I've also added a new frame CNU, which launches a ConEmu session and,
optionally, runs a command or program, as in CNU dir/p *.txt<Helpkey>.
As ever, you can grab the latest release of U2 at:
