This is for anyone who uses or has considered using the Win31DOSBox system

I’ve put together a variant of that system that uses the DOSBox-X variant of
DOSBox (by Jonathan Campbell). It’s functionally identical to the original
version (fixing one or two very small problems) but it may be more reliable.
DOSBox-X is designed to act more like a real computer than the original DOSBox,
and this may help Win 3.11 to run more smoothly. The download link is here:

If you have an existing system, simply copy the C-DRIVE folder from your
existing system to the new one, then run Win31DOSBox.exe in the new system. It
should work exactly as the old one did.
If this turns out to be trouble-free, I’ll replace the original version with
the new one.
