I am very much in favour of nuclear and I think it was 2 or 3 years ago that I
proposed RR because of its smart modular reactors. But the population rebels
about the slightest thing these days and I cannot see any town or city happy to
accept the placing of a small nuclear reactor anywhere near it. A great
concept that would provide electricity to 1m homes at a time, but we would see
nimbyism at its most extreme and no Govt. seeking to be re-elected would be
brave enough to propose where they would be sited.
best wishes

That is the ultimate status symbol; imagine the conversation:
"We’ve just installed a ground source heat pump.”“We thought about that, but in
the end we went for Thorium nuclear…"

This is really sleek and fascinating. RR on a new journey and a worthwhile
consideration for the club. Also for the possible nuclear units for domestic
use in due course?Possibly getting ahead of myself
