Good Morning.
I've made it home from my gym behind Amato's to Foster Street a couple of
times as of late!
It takes about an hour using a white cane.
When I had vision I ran from my house to visit my Brother who was
working at the old Burger King across from Pine tree shopping center in a
little over fifteen minutes.
What a contrast.
A little vision makes a huge difference.
I used to walk from the Iris network on Park Avenue by way of Brighton
Avenue quite often. It was a nice walk because I could see the scenery and
not need to completely focus on just getting from point A to point B.
I miss being able to truly enjoy walking.
I once rode my 12 speed bike up the river road onto 302 and on to Raymond
in about an hour and a half.
Look at me now, walking 2 miles an hour picking my way along.
I'll say I can walk 4 miles in an hour on my treadmill.
I can ride my stationary bike for an hour on levels 13, 12, & 11.
I apologize for the rant but, there it is.
