Have you noticed new signs on Main Street by Rock Row? WSMAC and the
Portland Bicycle/Pedestrian Advisory Committee (PBPAC) advocated last
summer for "Bikes May Use Full Lane" signs along that stretch, since the
shoulders do not meet bike lane standards. They went up a few weeks ago.
Yay, us! (And thank you Eric Dudley and Public Services.) (Bicyclists: If
you are nervous about using the road, the extra wide sidewalk on the Rock
Row side is also meant as a multi-use path, to share carefully with
pedestrians.)
