Subject: [blind-forum-maine] Wednesday short walk.
Good Afternoon.
Today’s short walk to The Big Apple for lottery tickets was not as good of a
job as I’ve done this walk in recent times.
On the way I veered left away from traffic. This has been an ongoing problem
because of a wide entrance into Angelone’s. I tried following a seam but it
didn’t work well. I needed to stop and listen to traffic to gauge the distance
from Main Street and to keep in a straight line. A nice lady asked if I needed
help which I politely replied that I was okay.
On the way back I veered right much farther away from Main Street. This got
me much farther into Angelone’s parking lot. I ended up on Pleasant Street
which is perpendicular to Angelone’s. I followed Pleasant back to Main Street
finding I had veered in about fifteen feet.
These little problems are becoming less frightening and, I am working out
the problems that need working out.
Now, I need a big lottery haul!
