I still haven't decided on whether the Meeting will be tomorrow or next
week. If it snows bad, I won't be able to attend; what do others feel? If
it does snow, should we reschedule? Should we leave the Meeting for
tomorrow anyway?

Introductions and comments from guest Angela King from BCM regarding
general advocacy and the identified problem locations identified at last
spring’s DOT/BCM Pedestrian Forum.
Present: Leelee, Kristi Dupere, Ann, Angela King (BCM), Sarah Cushman
(DOT), Dan Waite, John, Dennis, Abigail (by phone)
(Sarah: DOT consultant for pedestrian safety to especially vulnerable
populations. First phase is about a year, helping co-develop and deliver
safety education to seniors and disabled. Pilot in Bangor and Brewer. Also
immigrants in Lewiston/Auburn, and very low income/homelessness in Portland
and Westbrook.)

WSMAC swag: Kim, John to display samples she got; Lee is working on
slap bracelets. What would people use? See dontgethit.com.
Lee handed out WSMAC pens. John showed Sappi branded reflective vest and
headlamp. Sarah had Scotchlite stuff from www.BrilliantReflective.com

Leelee would like to know what people would like to see reflective stuff,
by next meeting.

Interim solution for Main/Stroudwater crosswalk?
Discussed idea of orange crossing flags so that people will use. We know
they will probably get taken, but Dan feels that that may die down after a
while. This was done in Portland for a while. Angela says this came up in
Augusta too, so she might be able to find some more information.

Contact Mike Conkright, Portland wheelchair user, who is working
on Portland sidewalk accessibility (he may be present at the meeting)

Can get traffic engineers to participate, ex. @ Hannaford?
Leelee will work on getting Mike at the next few meetings and talk about
doing the same thing here.

Dirigo Plaza plans: Plans @ city hall? Can we get a copy, or have to
come in and look? Any roadway/sidewalk/traffic changes?
Dennis agreed to pursue this with the City.
