I just finished submitting our grant to BCM for installation of
additional bike racks downtown. The application was an online Google Form,
so I took screenshots of each section for our records, which I attach here,
as well as a spreadsheet of cost and purchasing scenarios which we
calculated. The BCM process document says they will make a decision by *June
15*.
Many thanks to the subcommittee who put in a lot of work: Bruce and
Sylvia Wallingford for their expert perspective, advice, and purchasing
information; Cary for writing the bulk of the application; and Dennis
and others for reaching out to businesses and city council people. So far,
we have 14 businesses expressing interest in a rack in front of or near
their business!
Note that should we be selected, we have committed to a lot of work
and follow-up, so we won't just be resting on our laurels all summer. :-)
