Okay, so it sounds like I have to wait till the post or page is live before I
can change it in Gutenberg. That'll have to do. Thanks.

Once the button is pressed, you're actually on a button that says
'publish', & if you press it again, you do just that.

Well, just for the heck of it, I made a slight change to a post that's
scheduled to go live tomorrow. I was then able to use NVDA's virtual find
feature to locate the publish panel. But after opening the panel, I'm not
seeing an option to update or otherwise save changes. When I pressed
Control plus W to close the tab, I was told that if I left the site,
changes would probably not be saved. The only options there were to cancel
or leave.
Fortunately, I don't really need to change that post. If I do, I can still
use the classic editor. But I hope a solution to this problem can be found.

Actually, Abbie, all you need to do is to use your screen reader
virtual find (since you're using NVDA, it's ctrl + NVDA +f), and
search for the word 'publish', without the single quote marks, of
course. It's a button, so use spacebar or enter to expand the options.
From that point on, all should look familiar, but let us know if you
run into difficulties.

This not only applies to my wordpress.com blog but also my website,
Jackie is currently hosting. I frequently update pages on this site.
Once
the classic editor goes away, I don't know how I'll continue to do
this.
Does anyone know how to save changes to posts and pages in Gutenberg
once
they're scheduled or live?
