Yes new steps should maybe have at least one handrail for added safety.

Happy New Year! May this year bring better things for everyone.
As many of you are aware, the steps down into the common area haved
degraded into a state of disrepair. For our use and enjoyment of the common
area, and for safety reasons as well, the rotted railroad tie steps need to
be removed and replaced with new stairs.
For some time we have discussed as a community the ways in which we might
enjoy the common area. A fire pit has continually resurfaced as an idea
that would be an enjoyable and affordable space. I have put together a
little Pinterest board to get the fire pit design conversation started. If
you would like to join the board so you can add ideas/pins, please let me
know.
