The West Kent event of the decade, the WKARS Radio and Electronics Fair, is
just two weeks away
*******************************************************************************************************************
Plus next weekend brings the SSB field day.
Or, perhaps you'd like to get on the air, but prefer something less up-close
and personal? Maybe you don't fancy the phone nets, but want to try out your
station in other ways, either listening or in a full QSO? This month, we have
the solution for you; a presentation by the talented and engaging pairing of
Huw and Paul M0LRE from the Eastbourne club will be explaining how to 'data'.
So whilst the grass is turning from brown to green, and the rainstorms are
drawing in, the radio world goes from strength to strength:
* Meet the club members personally at the Rally, the Field Day, and the
club presentation night
* Chat with the members on any of the 10 nets over the month
* Test your transmitting station and operating skills on any of the 5
UKAC, backpackers or the 2 80m events
* Test your receiving station on the RSGB news bulletins, or any of the
nets or events
Amazing we have time for anything else, really... more details available via
the members mailing list, or the Club Website.
... but if you do, there's the National Hamfest at Newark too!
