Dear club colleagues, just a short update this month. As usual, I hope the
information will be of interest to you and your club members, and I would
appreciate it if you would pass this onto them.
Dover club meeting 27th April
On Thursday week the 27th of April, the Dover ARC will be supporting their
members and invite any other interested amateurs in designing and making their
own callsign badges on a laser cutter engraver.
If clubs want to have their logo on the badge this may be possible, but an
electronic file of the logo needs to be received at least three days before the
event.
The only cost for attending this meeting will be just £3 if you want to make a
badge, with all profits going to the DARC Scout and Guide fund, you will even
get a free tea and biscuit.
Further details can be obtained via email to peter.halloway@xxxxxxx, use this
address also if you have a logo that you would want to engrave.
The DARC meet at East Kent College, Maison Dieu Rd, Dover, CT16 1DH, doors open
from 6pm until 9pm.
At that time of night parking is free and access is at the back of the High St,
walking down the side of the Halifax. DARC members will be at the entrance gate
for a period, but if anyone has difficulty they can either call in on GB3KS or
phone the club mobile 07770 800267 during that evening.
World Amateur Radio Day
This Tuesday the 18th of April is World Amateur Radio Day, which commemorates
the formation of the International Amateur Radio Union in Paris in 1925.
Lets hope that conditions are good on Tuesday to help in the celebration of the
IARU being formed. Good DX.

taking membership applications from anyone looking to join the Society.
In addition to the books and memberships, RSGB colleagues and myself will be
pleased to see you and discuss any comments you may have regarding the many
facets of our hobby.
