Yesterday that was a solitary sandpiper on the small mud bar that is west of
the bridge over the Beaver Dam R on CTH J just south of Leipsig. Also there
was a pine warbler at the NE edge of my neighbor's woods. This is about 60 yds
E of the aforementioned bridge. Other than the pine warbler the only birds
present were a bunch of yellow-rumped warblers, a few RC kinglets and one YB
sapsucker. My property starts at the bridge and extend about a quarter mi S on
either side of CTH J. I'm there almost everyday so if you see someone
splitting wood, working in the garden, or mowing the lawn on the old farmstead
that is just S of the CTH J bridge, stop and say hi.
BTW, RIP Peter.....you will be missed.
