I went to observe swifts at the Lake Geneva, WI museum chimney last night and
observed only 1 swift going into the chimney, plus about 10 flying around in
the vicinity, but not at the chimney, at one time. Previous years, I've often
seen 1000 or more. While there last night, I met a woman who had seen the
Lake Geneva museum posted on Facebook as a site where many swifts had just been
observed. But I could find nothing on ebird .
My questions : Were there many swifts previously this month at the chimney in
Lake Geneva ?
And had they all migrated on just before last
night?
