I haven’t had a Pileated in the neighborhood in several years, at least that
I’ve seen. The rest have been about the same - a couple few, here and there.
And yes, our Ash trees are pretty much gone as well.

our feeders – Hairys, Downys, and Red Bellied. We has also had a few visits
from a Flicker. No Pileated or Red Heads. Washington County has been
assaullted by the ash borer for some time, but the increase in woodpeckers
