Thank you to everyone for your observations and information about this species.
In spite of it being common during migration I had never seen one. I observed a
pair at Peninsula Park over the weekend. They were obscured in a messy brush
which I guess is their thing! They must have caught the warm southern weather
express and came in with other avian friends: black and white warbler,
Redstart, blackpoll warbler , chestnut sided warbler yellow rumped warbler and
scarlet tanager. A great couple of mornings and some new birds for me. I
appreciate all your lovely and helpful comments!
