I just saw a flock of approximately 35 Willets flying along the shoreline
of Hudson Park on Lake Monona. They did not land and were headed west. I
have never even seen a single Willet in Dane County, so seeing 35 was quite
a surprise. Fellow birder Mike Meyers was just down the path and also saw
them and shared my disbelief. But hey, anything goes during migration!
