Checked out the overlook just south of Burnsville MN (about 20 minutes south of La Crosse on the West side of the Mississippi ) to see if the Tundra Swans had started showing up yet. Sure enough, about 200 of them. Also, several hundred widgeon, mallard, pintail and gadwall. Also about 100 Pelicans, 50 green winged teal and 15 Hooded mergansers, 4 shovelers, and a few wood ducks. Eagles were also there and on the move. I saw about 50 in the area, then at dusk about 100 more heading south over the river and along the bluffs. -- Doug Stratton Onalaska, La Crosse County #################### You received this email because you are subscribed to the Wisconsin Birding Network (Wisbirdn).
