Hi all,
Though I certainly realize that the tufted titmouse is a relatively common
bird, until today we had not seen one on Rainbow Pond for the entire 24 years
that we have lived here. Today a male has been frequenting our bird feeder. Not
at all sure as to why we haven’t seen one until now, but now we have. Also
fascinating (and probably unrelated) that it would show up on this wet and
rainy Christmas day.
Season’s best to all of you.
Best birding,
Jeff Virant
