I have enough bird books to have duplicates in Texas where we winter....I MUST
have them there for EXAMPLES? to show my birding group.

I put one each of an old book in each of 3 vehicles!

My newest and best copies never get in the field...they stay on my binocular
stand near my bird feeding window.? Also my autographed copies of Kaufman and
Sibley never get outside.

I carry the National Geographic on my Palm because all of the guides are
getting to heavy for my aging body to carry in the field.

My first Peterson that I shared with my first husband records the first
sightings we had back in the 60's...can't get rid of that.

I need a Mexican bird guide for the immigrants across the border in Southern
Texas.

I located a Golden Book that was like? my first bird reference book (the little
tiny one) when I started birding.

I had to get the new Golden book because of the wonderful pages showing all of
the heads of the warblers for fast and easy identification.

Now check and see how many birding books that aren't guide books that people
have...like all of Francis Hammerstrom's books and Kaufman's book and The Big
Year.? Wow!
