Six Mile Creek by Gov Nelson State Park, Madison was a great place to be in akayak this afternoon, deep enough to paddle and shallow enough to have some mudflats for shorebirds. Highlights were an Osprey eating a fish, 4 twirling Phaleropes and a Sora preening on a sunny log in plain sight.   3   Canada Goose        32   American Black Duck        15   Mallard        1   Common Loon        4   Great Blue Heron        4   Great Egret        9   Green Heron        1   Osprey        1   Sharp-shinned Hawk        1   Sora        5   American Coot        4   Sandhill Crane        9   Killdeer        1   Greater Yellowlegs        30   Lesser Yellowlegs        4   Wilson's Phalarope        110   Ring-billed Gull        5   Belted Kingfisher        2   Northern Flicker        1   Blue Jay        4   American Crow        10   Northern Rough-winged Swallow       15   Tree Swallow        6   Barn Swallow        2   Black-capped Chickadee        1   Gray Catbird        12   Cedar Waxwing        1   Common Yellowthroat        1   Swamp Sparrow        1   Northern Cardinal        2   Red-winged Blackbird        20   American Goldfinch      Paul Noeldner and Tim Nelson, Madison #################### You received this email because you are subscribed to the Wisconsin Birding Network (Wisbirdn).
