You know how birders say, "Your car is your best blind"? Well, forget that!
This morning anyway! "Your kitchen window is your best blind", when it
looks out over even a small urban backyard! In the past hour (yes, only 1
hour) we've had the following arrivals: Hermit, Gray-cheeked, Swainson's
Thrushes; Lincoln's, White-crowned, White-throated, Chipping Sparrows;
Baltimore Oriole; Gray Catbird; Ruby-crowned Kinglets; Merlin; and "all the
usual suspects" (as Daryl Tessen would say). Can't post anymore; gotta get
back to the window to see what shows up next! : ) Hold onto your Tilley
hats: Spring migration has arrived in Wisconsin bigtime! : )

through all the "dead stuff" that was left over the winter for the birds. :
