A check of these two Lake Michigan spots revealed how quiet it is currently.
The only thing of note in Sheboygan was a 2nd yr Glaucous Gull. Northeast
winds that made for little exposed rocks, plus the work on the beach in
preparation for the upcoming holiday also did not help.
The Manitowoc impoundment continues to have fewer birds each time. Today there
were 65 Caspian Terns, 10 Common Terns, 25 Bonaparte's Gulls and the LITTLE
GULL, which is coming into sub-adult plumage. The only shorebird present were
several Killdeer.
