Hi everyone--
Smithsonian scientists announced today that stable isotope analysis has
confirmed that the Canada Geese involved in the famous splash-landing of US
Airways Flight 1549 in January were migratory, not members of a resident
population.

The scientists released their findings in a research paper published this
morning in Frontiers in Ecology and the Environment, the journal of the
Ecological Society of America.
