Drew Goldberg found a red knot this evening at North Beach in Racine. A few of
us went to see it right before sunset and found it on the south end of the
beach, along with a handful of sanderlings, and two ruddy turnstones. We left
as it was getting kind of dark and the birds flew off. A bit later a peregrine
falcon flew overhead, so maybe that's why they all skedaddled. Hopefully it
returns for those wishing to look for it tomorrow/Sunday.
