Because we'd rather spend time watching the birds than window-shopping the list and checking the atlas! I am not able to travel all over the state. I look a couple of times a day for anything "Outagamie", "Brown", "Kewaunee." If I see "Richland", "Brown", and "Dane", I'll go right to "Brown" and then salivate over whatever Chris saw in Richland or you saw in Dane later (and hope it flies north!) I do agree that "Crex" and "Horicon" are possible exceptions, and there may be others (Milwaukee, Madison, Eau Claire, Appleton). But even "Bay Beach", wonderful as the place is, might not immediately click as "Brown Co." or "Green Bay" with everyone. Mike McDowell Madison - Dane County www.birddigiscoper.com -----Original Message----- From: wisbirdn-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:wisbirdn-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Chris West I believe Bettie Harriman has already asked us to include the county name in our posts. Yes, I know, I haven't been so good about doing that either. I would think for state parks and other places that are easily recognizable or show up on Google Maps, it's not such a big deal, but if you're posting from say Schumacher Rd or one of the Mud Lakes, or another random stop it would be a good idea to say at least what town it's near if not what county it's in. #################### You received this email because you are subscribed to the Wisconsin Birding Network (Wisbirdn).
