Thankfully I learned their "kip" calls yesterday at FBMP so when I heard them today I knew what was flying over. I had at least 21 and 6 of those were obvious males. They seemed to have come from a large tamarack on the property. I watched them fly off to the NE but could not relocate WHEN I HAD MY CAMERA! Will keep my ears open in hopes of a return visit. Both crossbills here in the last several months...sure beats driving to the Northwoods!
