Purple Martins were back in a couple spots. 2 males at the Amundson Boat landing, on Lake Kegonsa. A pair at 9 Springs. Barn Swallows are back in force. Seen on wires in a number of spots. I walked 9 Springs in hopes of an A. Bittern along the edges. The water is so low , that there's 10 feet of mud out from the weed edges. 2 Dunlin were in the second pond. 2 Pectorals, 1 Lesser and 1 Greater Yellowlegs were also seen. Not much for migrant passerines along the edges. 1 Hermit Thrush and 12 Rusty Blackbirds was it. An amazing amount of Shovelers and Green-wing Teal are still there, Good numbers of Blue-winged Teal, plus a few other species.
