Another birder has pointed out that I neglected to mention which road I was
on when I saw the plovers. The pond is on the east side of CTH I, about
.1-.2 miles south of STH49.

Subject: [wisb] Plovers! and juvenile dowitcher in Dodge County

The pond about .1-.2 miles south of STH49 hasn't had much variety during my
recent visits, but today it was good for large plovers.
The birds were flying in and out, but my high counts were 43 Black-bellied
Plovers, 5 American Golden-Plovers, and 9 Killdeer.

Other shorebirds were 4 Greater Yellowlegs, 1 Lesser Yellowlegs, 2 Least
Sandpipers, 1 Pectoral Sandpiper, and 1 Spotted Sandpiper.

The Breezy Point pond has a little water and the only non-Killdeer shorebird
I could find was a bright and beautiful Short-billed Dowitcher, the first
juvenile dowitcher I have seen this fall.
