The best surprise today was finding a singing MARSH WREN along the creek corridor of Pheasant Branch Conservancy in Middleton. Other new birds included GREEN HERON, RED-HEADED WOODPECKER, GREAT CRESTED FLYCATCHER, and COMMON YELLOWTHROAT. Beautiful weather for birding, but I was out in the sun a little too long today without sunscreen. Whoopsie.
