Tim's Hill County Park, on Tuesday September 14, a _*Peregrine Falcon*_ flew to my left only a few feet away. I watched the falcon fly off to the SE into the lower trees. I think this falcon was perched on the fire tower next to the observation tower. Hoping it might return to this perch I remained on top for 30 minuets but the falcon did not return. I have seen the adult falcons at MG&E, at a distance, but this was my first close encounter. This tower might not have a large number of climbers so it is possible the falcon remains in the area. He certainly would have a great view of the area for a possible meal. Phillip L.
