Hey folks --- On my way back from errands Tuesday my eyes caught a flock of small birds and the top of a tall and robust spruce loaded with cones, and for you Peter, this would be on the way to your folks place. At 9th and Koeller, more specifically, Westfield, is where the tree is and the 10 or so WHITE-WINGS. Always nice to see the more irregular finches. It would be awesome to get some Pine or Evening Grosbeaks which I haven't seen in eons. Haven't checked on the Grebe lately, though the river is more open now and it may've gone elsewhere. Lots of gulls in that area, but didn't have time to check. Checked out the river at the end of Bowen this a.m., just standard stuff.
