I found a Northern Mockingbird at about 8 AM today at Columbus Park in
Campbellsport in southern FDL County. The park is on very SE edge of town along
CTH Y south of HWY 67.
Best to use the gravel parking lot south of the ball diamonds. Take the section
of hiking trail the leads under the CTH Y bridge. This trail west, ends at a
walking bridge about 0.2 miles west of CTH Y. The bird seemed to favor the
trail between where the drainage pipe goes under the trail (about halfway) and
the walking bridge. Most of the time it stayed on or close to the trail feeding
but occasionally flew out into the grassy area to feed too. Hope it stays
around for others to enjoy.
