GlacierAt Lewis Park in McFarland in late afternoon, it would range between
8 & 25 Tundra Swans. Several Swans flew quite close to the parking lot.
There were also several Canada Geese, a Common Merganser. Far off, by the
Yahara outlet of Mud Lake, there were at least 30 more Swans. I
then went over to Jaeger Rd and there was a handsome looking male Canvasback
by the small boat landing, along with some more Canada Geese.
Next over to Dryeson Rd, looking from the old bridge upstream, there were
more Tundra Swans and Canada Geese and perhaps one Mute Swan.

This past summer I spoke with a State Highway engineer who was working at
the old bridge. He advised that the old bridge would be repaired and
retained in the summer of 2010, Yea!
