Good evening,
I had a few FOY's this afternoon. I got home from work about 1:30 and had 6
Sandhill Cranes fly over, loudly. My yard was hopping! I counted 105 birds
in 20 minutes, including 32 House Finches, 29 American Goldfinches, and a
beautiful male Common Redpoll. The House Finches were singing extended
spring songs.
I stopped by the Franklin Landfill as well and had 14 FOY Red-winged
Blackbirds and a FOY White-crowned Sparrow, which is a continuing over
winter bird, but first time I've seen it. An immature Bald Eagle was also
flying around.
Have a great night,
Jeremy Meyer
