I spent the morning checking two sod farms; one in Winnebago co west of
Appleton and the other in Portage co east of Stevens Pt. Neither had
Buff-breasteds. The Anderson farm had 180+ Killdeer, 1 Least Sandpiper
(curious as there is no water around) and a Horned Lark. The other (Green
Meadows) had 50+ Killdeer and 4 Brewer's Blackbirds. The nearby Lost Creek WA
had 5 shorebird species on one of its ponds (nothing unusual).
