About 15 minutes after I found the chat, maybe 30, who knows in the middle
of a birding frenzy, I found a lark Sparrow walking in the short grass that
used to be the shooting range at warnimont. I think that folks would have a
better shot at relocating that bird and the chat, although maybe the chat,
if it hangs around will become visible closer toward us when it needs to
feed more vigorously.
For the Lark Sparrow, just park in the golf course parking lot and check
that grassy area that used to be the shooting range and then the clump of
trees and bramble that is right between the parking lot and the shooting
range grass. I saw it and both the grass and up in a tree.
