I did see one white pelican on the Wisconsin River just below Sauk City today,
so they are around now.

There is a lot more open water along STH49 now, and the remaining ice should
be gone soon. Today I saw a nice variety of waterfowl there, including 6
Tundra Swans. Just west of the marsh, south about .5 mile on CTH I from
STH49, I saw (FOY) Lesser Yellowlegs. Along Ledge and Point Roads I ran into
a large blackbird flock and saw 6 (FOY) Rusty Blackbirds. I checked for
American White Pelicans and saw none, but while looking, a (FOY) Tree
Swallow circled around.
