I have watched Merlins catch and eat dragonflies.

Hi All, 
Sorry if this is common knowledge, but I don't know if there are birds that 
predate on dragonflies. It's got me thinking that this boon of dragonflies 
might manifest in a temporary rise in a particiular species that predates 
dragonflies. 

It reminds me of a story, that I may have heard here, about how the redheaded 
woodpecker populations used to spike in years of the now extinct Mexican Locust.

Any thoughts.
