Great Blue Heron: Difficult Meal Deal Today while spending the day at Horicon Marsh I managed to observe a Great Blue Heron fishing (but catch a very large fish, moving the fish so that it could swallow it head first, then maintain a straight tall neck to allow the fish to move on through. This whole event took a full ten minuets from catching the fish until the fish bulge finally disappeared from the neck.
