This morning we paddled the Pine River for 3.5 hours and found the river a great depth for canoeing currently. We found 40 species along the river with the following highlights: 1 Cackling Goose 26 Ruffed Grouse 2 Osprey 35 Yellow-bellied Sapsucker 16 Yellow-rumped Warbler 3 Pine Warbler 1 Palm Warbler Earlier at home we heard our FOY Am Bittern and observed Broad-wg Hawk. Some species seem extremely late, but others such as Palm Warbler are record early for us.
